After reviewing recommendations from the State of Missouri, ACA, and collaborating with our camp
directors and local health department, Camp Galilee has developed a plan for responding to COVID-19.
This plan is subject to change as we learn more information about COVID-19 and receive more guidance
from other professionals.
We have broken down our policies into Pre-arrival and at Camp. Our COVID-19 waiver outlines what we
expect families to understand and acknowledge prior to their child’s attendance at Galilee for the summer
Prior to Arrival at Camp
* All staff will have agreed to the same Pre-camp requirements as our families.
* During staff training our summer staff will be learning and practicing the same physical distancing and sanitation techniques that will be utilized during every camp session.
Taking into consideration the spontaneous nature of campers, the physical spaces at camp, and specific
activity requirements, we don’t believe that social distancing, as we have come to know it in America, is
possible at camp. However, we are prepared to encourage, teach, and ensure greater physical distancing
whenever it is appropriate.
During activities that don’t allow for greater physical distance between campers and staff, everyone will
be asked to wear a covering over their nose and mouth.
While camp offers a well equipped and modern health lodge with multiple rooms for isolating sick
campers, camp is not prepared to house campers or staff who show symptoms of COVID-19. Therefore,
This policy has been adapted from Cub Creek Science Camp Inc.
Dear Galilee Family, Friends, and Supporters,
The last few weeks have been difficult for everyone. We have all tried to maneuver the difficulties of COVID-19 as it has affected each of us in very unique ways that we never expected. In these difficulties, you have all been in our thoughts and prayers as we have considered what the next few weeks and months might look like for us all.
2020 Summer Camps
We have made the difficult decision to either postpone or cancel our June camps for the health and safety of our many campers and their families, our volunteers, and our summer staff. As this is an ever-changing situation, we may need to make adjustments to this schedule again as camps get closer, but our hope is to have all of our camps scheduled in July. Below is a copy of our updated camping schedule for this year.
CANCELED: ABLE Camp & Tikes Camp
JULY 6-11: Elementary 2, Jr. High 1, Jr. High Track & Field
JULY 13-18: PAC, Jr. High 2, Sr. High
JULY 20-23: Elementary 1 (Half Week)
July 20-25: Sr. High Track & Field
This has not been an easy decision for us. We know this might make some significant changes for your summer as well. For our families who have already registered and/or paid camp tuitions, we will work with you to change camps if possible or issue a refund.
We do ask that each of you keep us in your prayers over the next few weeks.
By His Grace,
"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." - Ephesians 3:20-21

Dear Camp Galilee Family, Friends, and Supporters,
As a camp community, our top priority is the safety of campers, as well as that of staff and volunteers. We recognize that many of you have concerns about the well-being of your families as well as how to plan for the weeks to come. In light of these concerns, we have been closely monitoring updates about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, including CDC guidelines, health department notices, and recommendations issued by the American Camp Association.
At this time, Camp Galilee programs for summer 2020 are scheduled to operate as planned. However, camp plans are subject to change based on national and regional recommendations and policies. In light of this reality, we will make every effort to keep you informed about any significant updates regarding our camps via email, social media, as well as on our website at campatgalilee.org. If you would like to be added to our email list, feel free to send us a message with your email information.
In all of the uncertainty which everyone is facing, we ask that you pray often. Pray for your communities, leaders, churches, and camp. Pray that despite the uncertainty we are all facing in the weeks to come, that we continue to put our trust in Christ and rely on Him for our strength.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling our office at (417) 876-7490. We are looking forward to a safe, healthy, and Christ-centered summer! In the mean time, we wish you many days in the outdoors to enjoy this wonderful Creation. :)
By His Grace,
In light of the current circumstances, we have been reevaluating our upcoming spring events. Due to the escalation of COVID-19 and recommendations by the CDC and our local health department, Hoops for Galilee will be postponed to a later date. Once a later date has been determined, we will let you know through social media and email. For more information about how the cancelation will affect your teams, please contact Jalen Supancic by phone at (417) 349-2190 or by email at email@example.com. For all other questions, contact Emily Hodge by phone at (417) 876-7490 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you then!
